desktop server sucks
Should look into DesktopServer. It is XAMPP but comes with WP and creates the site for you to load up into Dreamweaver in just a few clicks. Unlike XAMPP alone, you can work on your template files directly WYSIWYG. LiveView just doesn’t work with WordPress on any other server.
